    Founded in 1985, occupying an area of 23200 square meters, located at number 220, Le Chun Road, Nan Tzu District, Kaohsiung City, the school has been established for almost twenty years. Within the historical school compounds are huge trees, spacious area for students' activities and facilities for the healthy development of children academically and physically.

    Here at Jia-Chang Elementary School, children are the nucleus of the whole educational process, a kind of progress where students not only enjoy growth in knowledge but also growth in fitness. They are encouraged to develop their talents and abilities to the fullest by engaging in all types of activities, both indoors and outdoors. By efforts of the principal and all the teachers, the school enjoys good reputation among the parents and community.

Office of Students Affairs

    The Office of Students Affairs consists of four divisions: the Student Guidance Divisions. The Extracurricular Activities Division, the Medical Care Division, and Physical Educational Division.

    The Students Guidance Division plans and carries out the guidance projects of studentsˇ¦ life on campus. It coordinates the studentsˇ¦ meetings, group activities, and joints the community services. The division also helps to secure safety on public occasions. This office processes the registration of student publications and the application for scholarships. The office deals with the lost and found services, student awards and penalties and editing and distribution of student handbooks. The care of food service is detailed observed everyday.

    The office processes the evaluations of student conduct, and the applications for studentsˇ¦ leave as well as the orientation of new students and other guidance activities. The Extracurricular Activities Division counsels the students on their planning and execution of extracurricular activities as well as the financial services, including student loans, grants, and scholarships. The operation of the guidance teacher system and the supervision of the Student Activities Center are handled by this division. As for the safety reason, this office takes charge in the studentsˇ¦ travels and other off-campus programs.

    The Medical Care Division guides the studentsˇ¦ physical and mental health care. It provides services for the studentsˇ¦ diseases and takes preventive measures against their heath and hygienic problems. The office also examines the hygiene of the drinking water system and the neatness of the sanitation for the entire school.

    The Physical Education Division coordinates studentsˇ¦ interests in sports, promotes studentsˇ¦ exercise habits, supervises the training of students for athletic competitions on and off campus.

Counselor's Office

     The office provides individual and group counseling as well as career planning through various services such as volunteers training, guidance on students' career development, and assessment of student personality and interests. Students who need special education programs are directed to this office for further services about registration, assessments, and individual / group counseling.

The Office of General Affairs

     The Office of General Affairs, including the Cashier's section and Environmental Safety section, offers administrative support and services for teaching and research activities, supervising janitorial service, repairing and constructing the campus buildings and classrooms, and providing water and electric facilities. The office maintains all classrooms and buildings in good and safe condition, and provides equipment, tools, and maintenance services with requests. The Cashier's section, located in this office, functions as listed below: planning and managing the institution's cashier affairs; providing daily, weekly, and monthly updates of the bank account balance; providing semester updates on fund raising business and document management service; providing monthly payment for all full-time / part-time teachers' salary, and collecting students' tuition. The Environmental Safety section provides periodical fire safety checks, electricity checks, fire extinguisher checks, gas safety checks, and maintains the campus safety standards.

Office of Academic

     The Office of Academic Affairs is organized into three sections: Curriculum section (including the Preschool Education), Registrar's section, Facility Maintenance section. The professional tasks handled by each section are as follows:

Curriculum Section

  4. To create yearly school calendar
  5. To support all academic activities and competitions
  6. To help course designing and curriculum planning
  7. To manage school examinations

  10. To provide workshops and conference for teacher and staff

Registrarˇ¦s Section

  1. To take care of the enrollment
  2. To manage students' registration
  3. To manage students' withdrawal and transfer
  4. To issue the diploma of graduation

Facility Maintenance Section

  1. To organize, maintain and supplement the teaching facilities school wide.
  2. To help teachers creating the supplementary teaching materials and decorate the classrooms.
  3. To manage the library and to promote studentsˇ¦ after-school reading activities.
  4. To promote any science and technology educational fairs.

Personnelˇ¦s Office

  1. To provide the services of employment and retirement for faculty and staff.
  2. To promote or to change the amount of yearly salaries.
  3. To approve the qualification of the substitute teachers and part-time teachers.
  4. To provide the training programs, overseas studying opportunities for faculty and staff.
  5. To handle the applications for National Health Care program.
  6. To provide the benefits of any traveling services, faculty luncheon, teacherˇ¦s in-service.
  7. To record the personnel; profile research and statistic analysis.
  8. To handle the applications of employment certificate and approval documentation.
